KeLea Randall is a graduate of St. Paul Central High School in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a senior at Spelman College double majoring in International Studies and Spanish. She finished the spring 2009 semester with a 3.95 grade point average and was placed on the Dean’s List for the third consecutive year. KeLea recently completed a semester study abroad in Seville, Spain; she was accepted to study abroad with the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) in their International Business and Culture Program. In Spain she attended the University Pablo de Olavide and lived with a host family. By studying abroad KeLea enhanced her oral Spanish speaking skills, her knowledge of how to conduct international business, as well as her appreciation and understanding for the Spanish culture. KeLea is involved in various on campus organizations such as S.K.I.R.T.S (Sister’s Keeping it Real Through Service) an on campus community service organization where she is currently on the executive board serving as the treasurer. She is also the community service coordinator for the Spanish club. KeLea is on the executive board of the Power of Ten, a student lead philanthropic initiative that seeks to increase Spelman alumna giving. She is a general body member of the following organizations: S.W.E.P.T (Spelman Women Empowered Through Professional Training), Golf For Business and Life, and Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society. KeLea hopes to become a liaison for an international company with interactions in Spanish speaking countries or work for a non-profit organization that helps to reduce the poverty levels in countries that are lesser developed. KeLea is also applying to the Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Level International Fellowship that would finance graduate school and also offer her a full time position with the state department after graduation.
