The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Application is available for review here. Clicking "Apply Now" above, beginning Nov. 1, will take you to the live online application where you may fill it out and submit.

Scholarship Award

Through its Education and Leadership Development Program, the Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $24,000/four years to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.

Application Components

The required components of the Jackie Robinson Foundation application are:

  • The online application, which includes four essay questions;
  • A professional, hi-resolution digital photo (headshots only, in a JPEG format) - you may submit a high school senior graduation photo;
  • One letter of recommendation (e.g. a teacher, a mentor, a guidance counselor, an employer);
  • SAT or ACT scores: If you have taken the SAT or ACT more than once, please enter your best scores from each test. NOTE: JRF does not consider the writing scores as part of your examination.

You will need to have a copy of your SAT or ACT scores and your latest high school transcript in order to complete the questions on the online application.

Mailing Materials

We will not accept the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship application or supporting documents via mail, email or fax. Applications and letters of recommendation will only be accepted via our online application program.

Verification

Applicants invited to interview with one of the regional committees will be required to bring copies of the documents listed below to the interview.

  • Official high school transcript and school profile
  • Proof of U.S. citizenship
  • Student Financial Aid Report

April – May 2015 - Regional Interviews

July 2015 - Regional Scholar Orientations
