Gabrielle Hall

Howard University School of Education

“Being a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar is so much more than financial support. JRF is an organization that is truly committed to the educational and professional success of its scholars. Because of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, I am able to pursue my aspirations with proper guidance and support, and without the stress of financial burdens.”

2014-2015 Accomplishments

Gabrielle had a very strong freshman year at Howard University, finishing the spring semester with a 3.7 GPA which qualified her for a place on the Dean’s List. She also pledged Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity, the nation’s largest and oldest professional Greek organization, and trained to serve as a Resident Assistant, a role she’ll assume as a sophomore.

Career Aspirations

Gabrielle plans to graduate with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Secondary Education. She would like to pursue a career in teaching and either earn a Master’s in Education and continue teaching, or change careers and head to law school. Should she pursue law school she would ultimately like to work as a practicing attorney or in government service.

Community Service

The organization that Gabrielle did the most community service through was the Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity. They hosted a number of on campus events to help develop the professional goals of students at Howard. The group also organized off campus events throughout the D.C. Metropolitan area.
