BMO Capital Markets Holds Annual Equity Through Education Trading Day

Jackie Robinson Foundation Beneficiary for 9th Consecutive Year

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK-September 25- For the ninth consecutive year, the Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF), the premier scholarship, mentoring and leadership development organization, will be among the beneficiaries when BMO Capital Markets holds its annual Equity Through Education Trading Day in New York and Toronto on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013.

Since 2005, BMO Capital Markets has contributed the proceeds from one day’s worth of institutional equity trading commissions to JRF and seven other North American charitable organizations. In the past eight years, the Foundation has received $1.7 million toward providing undergraduate scholarships and program support.

“With nearly a decade of generous support from BMO Capital Markets, we have been able to help more than 200 students annually, including 13 JRF/BMO Capital Markets Scholars,” said JRF President and CEO Della Britton Baeza. “We are once again delighted to be the recipients of BMO’s unwavering commitment to our mission of aiding capable young men and women in achieving their dream of a college education.”
